It’s officially fall!! Well – it has been for a few weeks now. I decided to put together a dream outfit for all my neutral lovers! And guess what? It is both comfortable and affordable. To prove to you that it’s comfortable, I wore it on Thanksgiving and didn’t even change into my sweatpants after a giant meal of turkey, mashed potatoes, and mac & cheese. I was even comfortable after a few too many pieces of pie!
Not only is it comfortable, but it is so versatile for the cold months ahead. Wear it without tights for a nice fall look like I did, or add tights and taller boots to be warm enough in the winter.
One of my favorite things about this outfit is the mix of fabrics and textures. Instead of focusing on a pop of color or different patterns, I chose to focus on mixing fabrics to keep the outfit interesting. I love the contrast between my rubber Chelsea rain boots and my corduroy skirt. I even love the contrast of those fabrics with my ribbed cotton sweater and blanket scarf. It brings the outfit to life while still staying within the comfort zone of my burnt orange, black, and beige neutral colors.
